Our team is assembled from a group of volunteer local artists and techies from the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.

Notation for versions of IO is as follows:

(1.0) I.O. version 1.0 (the big silver pipes project)
(2.0) I.O. version 2.0 (the blue shiny project)
(2.5) I.O. version 2.5 (the much-improved blue shiny project)

Josh Steiner:
Programming, user-interface, and sound design. Josh holds a degree from Antioch College, OH in Computer Science, with an emphasis in computer music. He is currently a programmer and drum‘n’bass producer under the name of Vitriolix in Berkeley.

Jacob Zweig:
User-interface, sound design. Jacob holds a degree from UC Berkeley, CA in Music Composition and is currently a minimal techno producer under the name of Spish in San Francisco.

George Campbell:
Electrical engineering, circuits, construction. George holds a degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, MA, in Computer Science and is currently a system administrator in Silicon Valley.

Patina Mendez:
Construction, physical design, and website. Patina holds degrees from UT Austin, TX, in Studio Art and Zoology and is currently a Ph. D. graduate student in Aquatic Entomology at UC Berkeley.

Steven McDonald:
Construction, programming assistance, circuits. Steve holds a degree from UC Santa Cruz, CA in Computer Science and is currently working in the computer industry in San Mateo.

Nevin Cheung:
Project wrangler, electrical, sysadmin, and BM liaison. Nevin has a B.S. in Business Administration from UC Berkeley, and is currently a Systems Administrator for Genentech Inc. in the Bay Area.

Star Morin:
Sound Design. Star is a college dropout. He has served as techno McGuyver for likes of UCSF and Penguin Compuing, and is currently a programmer for Digital Rights Agency in San Francisco.

Jon Nelson:
Sound Design, programming assistance. Jon holds a degree from Antioch College, OH in Philosophy and is currently working on his music in False Pass, Alaska.

Hans-Christoph Steiner:
Technology advisor and hardware donations. Hans-Christoph spends his time building networks with free software in New York, composing music with computers, and working on robots and other interactive art projects.

Megan Keene:
Electronics Mule, On-site support, Nevin Wranger. Megan has a degree from UC Berkeley.

Candice Lucado:
Maker of the sign, On-site support. Candice has a BA is in Sociology from the New College of Florida, and is now working on her AA in graphic design, specializing in print, at the City College of San Francisco.

Pasha Donnelly:
Point person for organization with BRC2002 on the playa. Pasha holds a degree from Antioch College, OH in Drama and is currently working from home in Vermont.
