04-24-06: It was great to see everyone and out at the Makers Faire! We got to talk to tons of cool people and show off the best parts of IO. If you are interested in booking IO for a showing, drop us an email. We have lots of free weekends this summer-- we'll be happy to pack ourselves up and come hangout for a day-- parties, festivals, education, you name it!! Also, if you have any photos or videos of IO you are able to share, please email them to us! Hope to see you all at Makers 2007 (or sooner).

04-12-06: IO is back up and reving to go... we took it completely apart and serviced it, so now it is running better than ever. We look forward to seeing you at the Maker Faire!

10-20-05: IO didn't survive Decompression (though it did manage to limp away and swears it will be back in action after a little tune-up). A glass of red wine was spilled on it towards the end of this year's annual post-Burning Man street party in San Francisco. IO is currently in our lead electrical engineer's garage, awaiting dissection and inspection. We expect it will probably be ok, despite the wine drenching IO's guts pretty thoroughly. It was an honest accident, and we are debating whether to install cupholders to prevent future spillage.

09-07-05: IO survived Burningman 2005. Media to follow shortly...

08-08-05: IO spent the weekend (August 5th-7th) at the String Cheese Incident Horning's Hideout campout in North Plains, Oregon, just 20 miles outside of Portland. It was very well-received. As jam bands were the main focus of this event, folks were very happy to have a chance to jam themselves. Crowds of people, from age 2 to age 70, were dancing to IO's sounds until late in the night, singing, rapping, and beating on drums to add to the music. And no one knocked any part of IO in to the lake. All in all, IO's first trip to the Pacific Northwest was a great success.

10-16-04: Don't forget to come on by the Odeon on Saturday to play with IO without the competing (trance) sound systems that we heard at Decompression... actually, IO will be playing through the Odeon's great sound system, instead of our portable speakers, so it should be an amazing experience overall. See you there!

10-11-04: We had a great time with all of the people who showed up at the SF Decompression! It was really great to meet all of the people to played with IO, and was a great chance to promote for the showing at the Odeon on Saturday, October 23rd! If we talked to you and you gave us your card, but we don't get back to you right away, drop us an email and bug us until you get what you want from us. We'll be happy to bring IO to your venue.

10-05-04: We are showing IO at decompression this sunday in San Francisco, please stop by the park, make some insane gibbering sound and say hello to us!

9-18-04: Tina did MORE massive updates to the site, reducing the main menu overall, hopefully organizing things a little better. More new photos and details, more geek out, new contact info.

9-17-04: Tina did a massive update to the gallery, adding lots of new detailed photos of the new improved io2.5 ... you should definitely check it out.

9-15-04: Frank Rodriguez of www.organicphoto.com sent us a few video's of IO in action from Burningman 2004! Check them out in the Video section.

9-7-04: If you have any photo's, video or audio of IO please email us (be sure to let us know if you mind if we use them on our website)... we REALLY love seeing people having fun with our creation.

9-7-04: The Improbable Orchestra ROCKED Burningman 2004! The response was overwealming and positive. Our backs are all bruised and sore from the back patting. Many thanks to the entire IO build and support team for really delivering this year! Plans are already in the works for taking the new improved IO out to the rest of the world not fortunate enough to be at burningman, so if you have a venue/festival and would like to see IO there, PLEASE contact info@xiphoidprocess.com!

9-6-04: Photos from this years burn are being collected and will be posted very soon!
